Employee Involvement

Community Participation

At Cato Research, we recognize our responsibility to encourage active employee and community partnerships.

We have long supported the volunteers and charitable needs of the diverse communities in which we operate. What this means is that we strongly commit to sharing our time and talents with our communities. For all of us at Cato Research, community engagement is rewarding and fun.

Employee Involvement

Cato Research has established many committees in order to facilitate and encourage employee involvement in all aspects of our company's policies. Employees may decide to become involved in one or more. The committees usually meet at least once a month and are always seeking new, active members. The volunteer committees report to the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is comprised of the chairmen of all the volunteer committees.

Corporate Enrichment Committee

The Corporate Enrichment committee provides a forum to solicit ideas regarding Cato Research's employee benefits and provides a peer review group to discuss alternative benefits, address issues, and provide recommendations to improve our corporate benefits.

Eleemosynary Committee

The "E" Committee directs the company's program of charitable giving and community involvement.

Employee Award and Recognition Committee (EARC)

The purpose of this committee is to thank employees for their contributions to Cato Research. We believe that it is important to tangibly indicate how valuable each employee is to our organization. This message of appreciation is repeatedly stated by Dr. Cato to all employees. The committee tries to reinforce his message.

Joy Committee

The Joy Committee promotes goodwill among employees by arranging social events and holiday activities. Employee participation in these events is highly encouraged.

Newsletter Committee

The "CommuniCATOr" is the company newsletter. Published quarterly, it contains news items about employee milestones, interesting company activities, and helpful pointers on a variety of subjects. Employees frequently submit ideas for articles or submit writing of their own.
