Our quality control checks are inherent in the processing of data in all stages of computerization and cleanup. Data cleanup activities include manual review of the CRFs and computer listings of data, computer-generated data queries, and computer-assisted data queries. Statistical tools (SAS® procedures) and database tools (ClinTrial™) are used during data cleanup to identify trends or unusual values. Data managers attend fastidiously to traceability and auditability of the data contained in the CRF and ensure that the database faithfully reflects the clean CRF. The database is only released for analysis after it is declared clean.
